What is it about Fall?

It is a new month lovelies and a new season.  What is it about fall?

This is a wonderful time to re-boot and re-charge and get yourself on the road towards the end of the year!  After chillaxing (it's a word) all summer, here are some tips to get you on your way:

Indulge in Autumn's harvest of delicious food and meals

Autumn is a great season for food.  Apples, Pumpkins/Squash, Pears, Sweet Potatoes are some of the super delicious foods that are in abundance right now. These are great for soups, stews and desserts.  They are also nutritious and can help with your hormonal balance.

Begin a New Exercise Routine

Someone once told me that the gym is busier in September and October than it is in January.  That my be due to people wanting to get back into some sort of routine.  Pick something that you'll enjoy and that you'll stick to when the weather starts to get cold and rainy and dare I say it ... snow appears.

Review your goals

We've got approximately 90 days left of the year.  Are you where you want to be or is there room for improvement?  Hey, there's always room for improvement, right?

De-Stress

Find ways to de-stress.  Work, family, life can be stressful and we may reach for food that won't help the situation.  This can lead to elevated cortisol levels. Try some yoga, meditation, hot baths or perhaps boxing or ax throwing may be your thing.  It doesn't matter the activity.  What matters is that it makes you feel amazing and de-stresses you.  Pick something new to enjoy and something that may totally be so far removed from your normal daily activities (who throws an ax daily?).

Finally, don't just be good to others.  Be good to yourself.

Yours in health and wellness,

Francine
